Bhopal, Sep 20 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh Congress president, Jitu Patwari, dismissed claims of a burgeoning internal conflict within the party's state unit, labeling such allegations as a mere fabrication by the ruling BJP aimed at portraying the opposition as feeble.
Instead, Patwari asserted that numerous senior leaders from the BJP are actively working to destabilize the government led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
He pointed out that discontent among state BJP leaders has escalated to the point where a series of complaints against CM Yadav are emerging from high-ranking officials.
According to Patwari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Union Minister) is making every effort to unseat Yadav, with Kailash Vijayvargiya and several other senior ministers aligning against the Chief Minister. Patwari questioned how the BJP could critique Congress' unity under such circumstances.
He made these remarks during a program as part of the Congress' ongoing 'vote theft' campaign, held in Rajgarh, the home district of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh.
Speaking to a large audience of Congress supporters from Rajgarh, Patwari commended Singh for his 45 years of dedicated service to the party.
He remarked, “If Jitu Patwari, Umang Singhar, Jaivardhan Singh, or other Congress members are seen together, the BJP questions our Sangthan Srijan,” while praising Jaivardhan Singh as a charismatic young leader.
This comment came in light of recent controversies surrounding the appointment of Digvijaya Singh’s son, Jaivardhan Singh, as the district president of Guna, a Lok Sabha constituency represented by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
The BJP mocked Congress, suggesting that this appointment was a scheme to undermine Jaivardhan. Nonetheless, he, along with Patwari, addressed a joint press conference to respond to such claims.
