Bhopal, Feb 19 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, engaged in discussions regarding the newly approved health investment promotion policy by the state Cabinet in anticipation of the forthcoming Global Investment Summit (GIS).
Officials have indicated that preparations for the inaugural Global Investors Summit in Bhopal are progressing at a rapid pace.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who is overseeing the Industry Policy and Investment Promotion sector, is actively supervising these preparations.
The two-day GIS is set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24.
Home Minister Amit Shah will be present at the closing ceremony on February 25, the second day of the summit.
During the meeting on Wednesday, the focus was on enhancing the health infrastructure through investments from both the government and private sectors to provide improved services to the citizens of Madhya Pradesh.
The senior BJP leaders also evaluated the development of a 'pay-protection' policy aimed at safeguarding the interests of doctors and medical staff in both public and private healthcare facilities.
It is noteworthy that Jagdish Devda oversees the state's finance department, while Rajendra Shukla is responsible for family and health welfare under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's BJP administration.
"Officials have been instructed to finalize the pay-protection policy for submission to the cabinet for approval promptly. This policy will attract professionals in the medical field and enhance health services," said Rajendra Shukla.
According to sources, the Madhya Pradesh government aims to implement a 'pay-protection' policy in the medical sector, ensuring that healthcare professionals do not incur pay cuts during transitions between roles or organizations, thus maintaining their financial stability.
The main objective is to guarantee that healthcare workers do not experience a decrease in salary or benefits when transitioning to new positions, even if the new role offers lower pay or different benefits.
By providing financial security, pay protection systems aid in retaining essential healthcare professionals and encourage them to embrace new opportunities within the medical sector.
