Bhopal, March 17 (NationPress) The government of Madhya Pradesh announced on Tuesday that educational and medical institutions throughout the state are receiving a full supply of LPG cylinders without any interruptions, ensuring that domestic supplies are also unaffected.

The government highlighted that domestic LPG production has surged by 36 percent, with the Centre issuing guidelines for special concessions related to City Gas Distribution.

During a routine review session, oil company representatives revealed that online booking has increased from 84 percent to 90 percent.

New facilities for gas booking via mobile applications, SMS, WhatsApp, and IVRS calls have also been implemented.

A six-member committee has been established by the state government to liaise with oil companies regarding the supply of petrol, diesel, CNG, PNG, and domestic LPG.

The government emphasized that rigorous actions are being undertaken against the hoarding of LPG cylinders.

Authorities have conducted raids at 1,341 sites, confiscating 1,827 cylinders across the state.

Additionally, industrial and commercial entities have been encouraged to secure PNG connections wherever feasible.

“The supply of PNG remains steady and will continue to do so in the future,” the government affirmed.

Ajay Srivastava, the State Nodal Officer for oil companies, stated that Madhya Pradesh has adequate stock levels of gas cylinders, with plentiful supplies at bottling plants and distributors’ warehouses.

The government also advised commercial users to make prudent use of available stocks and to explore alternative fuel options.

“Users are encouraged to manage activities that consume significant amounts of gas and to develop alternative solutions wherever possible,” it added.
