Bhopal, April 17 (NationPress) The government of Madhya Pradesh announced on Friday that the state's robust digital initiatives have significantly advanced the progress in nutrition and health through Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 in the past year.
The administration noted that the implementation of the Poshan Tracker has revolutionized monitoring and service delivery, facilitating real-time tracking of beneficiaries and enhancing planning for timely interventions. Consequently, key health indicators have improved since March 2025.
Emphasizing the digital transition, officials stated that the coverage of health identities has surged dramatically.
“ABHA ID coverage has increased from 7.21 percent to 80.87 percent,” they noted.
Additionally, the reach of the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR ID), a unique 12-digit digital identifier assigned to students, has risen among children from 32.12 percent to 92.60 percent within the state.
This achievement signifies a substantial advancement towards establishing a digital framework in health and nutrition.
“The benefits of this initiative are evident at the community level. Home visits by Anganwadi workers have climbed from 91.65 percent to 98.44 percent, indicating enhanced outreach and service delivery. The frequency of Village Health, Sanitation, and Nutrition Days has also increased from 73.43 percent to 93.33 percent, providing better access to essential services,” the government explained.
Transparency has notably improved due to digital verification processes.
The coverage of the Aadhaar-based Face Recognition System (FRS) has surged from 31.93 percent to over 95 percent, ensuring precise identification of beneficiaries and minimizing discrepancies in the distribution of rations and nutritional support.
Community involvement has also seen a marked increase during this timeframe.
“Community-driven events have risen from 88 percent to 96.97 percent,” the government added, highlighting that local awareness has significantly strengthened.
The government commended Anganwadi workers for facilitating the digital transition at the grassroots, noting that their contributions have led to more effective implementation of various schemes.
It emphasized that the synergy between technology and fieldwork has collectively enhanced outcomes.
