Mumbai, July 17 (NationPress) The Maharashtra Minister of Medical Education, Hasan Mushrif, announced in the state assembly on Thursday the initiation of a new system called “Know Your Doctor” aimed at tackling the issue of fraudulent doctors in the state.
This innovative digital platform has been crafted by the Maharashtra Medical Council, following inquiries from representatives Sanjay Darekar and Dharmaraobaba Atram concerning the increasing number of patients being deceived by impostors.
Through the 'Know Your Doctor' platform, patients will have access to vital information, including doctors' identity card details, their areas of expertise, and registration numbers via a QR code. Additionally, a district-level review committee, led by the District Magistrate, has been established to initiate preventative actions against fraudulent medical practitioners.
