"According to the law, cow slaughter is illegal. However, it has been noted that this crime is being committed on a recurring basis. Individuals who persist in such actions will face consequences under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act," he stated in response to a question posed by Congress legislator Sangram Jagtap.
Minister of State for Home (Rural), Pankaj Bhoyar, mentioned, "On November 2, 2024, a conflict erupted between two communities in Shrigonda of Ahilyanagar district. However, the individual was later released on bail by the court.
Minister Bhoyar also assured that stringent measures will be enforced in the incidents occurring in Shrigonda city, and no one will be let off easily.
In another instance, State Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate stated in the Assembly that any delays in the obligations of the insurance company under the crop insurance scheme will lead to legal action against the respective insurance company.
