Jaipur, Feb 15 (NationPress) Social media influencer Apoorva Makhija has been excluded from IIFA's list of promoters, as confirmed by sources on Friday, stating she is "no longer officially part of the previously selected individuals." However, IIFA officials confirmed on Friday that her name has been removed from the roster of IIFA promoters following the significant controversy surrounding podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia's inappropriate comments on 'India's Got Latent'. She was also involved as a member of the panel.
On Thursday, a legal complaint was lodged against well-known YouTubers Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Makhija in Kota for allegedly making vulgar and offensive remarks about parents during their comedy show 'India's Got Latent'.
The complaint, filed by a group of lawyers at the Nayapura Police Station, claims that the show promotes obscenity under the guise of humor, which they contend attacks India’s social and moral standards.
