New Delhi, Feb 10 (NationPress) YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, widely recognized as BeerBiceps, has found himself embroiled in a significant controversy and legal challenges due to his statements made on comedian Samay Raina's show 'India's Got Latent', igniting public outrage and potential legal repercussions.

Allahbadia, who has amassed over 3 million followers on Instagram and boasts more than 10 million subscribers on YouTube, has hosted prominent personalities such as actress Priyanka Chopra, singer Karan Aujla, and ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somanath. However, he is now facing severe criticism for remarks made during Raina's program.

The backlash has prompted a legal complaint against both Allahbadia and Raina, as well as the production team behind the show.

In a recent episode featuring content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija (also known as The Rebel Kid), Allahbadia posed a particularly controversial question to a contestant:

"Would you prefer to watch your parents engage in sexual activity every day for the rest of your life or participate once and end it forever?"

This comment, along with the overall tone of the show, has sparked significant outrage, leading to a formal complaint lodged with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the National Commission for Women. The complainant is seeking stringent action against all parties involved.

The complaint alleges that Allahbadia, Raina, and others utilized abusive language and made inappropriate remarks regarding women during the show.

It stated: "This complaint requests the registration of an FIR against those involved in the serious crime of monetizing their popularity through the online platform India's Got Latent, by making lewd jokes and obscene comments about women's private parts, which degrade their dignity."

The complainant described one incident as "highly sensitive" and accused the show's producers and judges of engaging in a "criminal act by deliberately broadcasting degrading content about women to gain fame and profit through YouTube."

The letter also claimed that the show propagates "obscene ideas among minors."

The complaint demands an immediate FIR against the show's producers and a crackdown on similarly controversial content. Numerous users on social media joined in the outrage, calling for the cancellation of India's Got Latent and a boycott of both Raina and Allahbadia.

In the wake of the controversy, hashtags like #RanveerAllahbadia, #SamayRaina, and #Boycott began to trend on X.

Raina's show is popular among Gen-Z audiences for its dark humor. Nevertheless, the vulgar comments made by Allahbadia surprised both the audience and fellow judges.

One viewer recalled Allahbadia's recent acknowledgment by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the National Creators Award, stating: "Receiving an award from the Prime Minister, interviewing ministers… and now this?"

Another user criticized the show, saying: "This rubbish show needs to end. Sex jokes, vulgar language, racism, North-South discrimination -- all being promoted under the guise of dark humor."

A clip from the show circulated widely, with one user commenting: "Protect future generations. Influencers like Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia are adversely affecting youth and distorting India's cultural values. Let’s support content that honors our heritage."

Some users urged Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to take action against the show, while others expressed disappointment over Raina's recent appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati alongside Tanmay Bhat, Bhuvan Bam, and Kamiya Jani. One user remarked: "Amitabh Bachchan should feel ashamed for featuring such individuals on KBC."

This is not the first time India's Got Latent has sparked controversy. Just last week, a case was reportedly filed against a contestant from Arunachal Pradesh over comments regarding dog meat.
