Bengaluru, May 13 (NationPress) A man has been apprehended in Karnataka for allegedly stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence should be bombed, according to police reports released on Tuesday.
The individual, named Nawaz, reportedly made these inflammatory remarks in a video that he shared on his social media account titled 'Public Servant'.
In the viral video, Nawaz claimed, "Today, India and Pakistan are at war. Why hasn’t Prime Minister Modi’s residence been bombed yet? PM Modi is responsible for creating this warlike atmosphere when people were living in peace. His residence should be the first target."
Responding to the situation, the Bandepalya Police filed a First Information Report (FIR) and located the accused. He is now in judicial custody at Bengaluru Central Jail.
In a separate incident, the Karnataka Police also registered an FIR against a postgraduate student for allegedly critiquing 'Operation Sindoor', an initiative by the Indian armed forces following a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in 26 deaths.
The Konaje Police in Mangaluru took action based on a complaint regarding the student's Instagram post that condemned 'Operation Sindoor'.
Reshma N. Bariga, a student from Mangaluru University and resident of Belalu near Belthangady, was the individual in question. She utilized the hashtag ‘#dikkaraoperationSindoora’ (Down with Operation Sindoor) in a poetic critique about the senselessness of war, stating that it leads to 'total darkness'.
