Patna, Feb 14 (NationPress) Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Jitan Ram Manjhi, has responded strongly to Rashtriya Janata Dal President Lalu Prasad for asserting that the BJP will be unable to establish a government in Bihar following the 2025 Assembly elections.
While addressing the media at Patna airport on Thursday, Union Minister Manjhi ridiculed Lalu's forecast, stating: "Is Lalu Prasad Yadav a prophet? If he is, then why doesn't he predict his own future? Why doesn't he foresee what's going on in his own household?"
The Union Minister confidently predicted that Bihar will once again witness an NDA-led government under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, with PM Narendra Modi aspiring for a significant triumph in the 2025 Assembly elections.
Manjhi asserted that the NDA aims for 225 seats in the Bihar Assembly and will surely establish the next government in the state.
He also emphasized PM Modi's upcoming visit to Bhagalpur on February 24, suggesting that the state will gain considerable advantages from this visit.
"PM Modi is coming to Bhagalpur on February 24, and Bihar is going to receive a lot. The BJP and NDA will secure 225 seats and form the government with an overwhelming majority," he remarked.
When questioned about Nitish Kumar's son, Nishant Kumar, potentially entering politics, Manjhi expressed his unwavering support, stating: "Every citizen of Bihar and India has the right to participate in politics. If Nishant Kumar wishes to enter politics, I back him completely."
The Union Minister also endorsed the implementation of President's Rule in Manipur, referencing the declining law and order situation.
"Manipur has been experiencing a law and order crisis for a while. After the Chief Minister's resignation, discussions about a new leader took place. In such circumstances, enforcing President's Rule is a correct decision, and we support it," he stated.
As the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections draw near, the exchange of barbs between the NDA and RJD is escalating.
Manjhi's fierce criticism of Lalu Prasad and his assurance regarding the NDA's 225-seat target suggests that the ruling coalition is preparing for a crucial electoral clash.
