Patna, April 15 (NationPress) Following Tejashwi Yadav's discussions with Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, Union MSME Minister and chief of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) Jitan Ram Manjhi accused the opposition coalition of scheming to reinstate 'Jungle Raj' in Bihar.
“A group of self-serving individuals convened in Delhi today to strategize on how to reintroduce Jungle Raj in Bihar,” Manjhi claimed, sharply criticizing the leadership of Congress and RJD.
He asserted that the leaders of the INDIA alliance were anxious to reclaim power and could not accept the ongoing development and sense of safety currently enjoyed in Bihar under the NDA government.
“The citizens of Bihar have experienced progress. The opposition cannot deceive them with empty promises any longer,” he remarked.
Manjhi, a noted Dalit leader, also challenged Tejashwi Yadav’s recent outreach in Raghopur, where the RJD leader sought respect for Dalits while sharing sattu with residents.
“What’s with this sudden change of attitude? If Dalits are now being promised respect, does that imply they were disrespected during his parents’ rule?” Manjhi questioned.
He emphasized that Dalit voters in Bihar still remember the abuses they endured during the regimes of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, warning that no assurances from Tejashwi could erase those memories.
“Who can assure Dalits that they won’t face harassment again if the RJD regains power?” he asked.
Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav characterized his meeting with Congress leaders as ‘positive’ and mentioned that a broader alliance meeting with CPI, CPI-ML, and CPM is scheduled for April 17 in Patna to finalize the Mahagathbandhan’s strategy for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
