Mann Ki Baat: Nationwide Initiative Encouraging Citizens to Read the Preamble, States PM Modi

New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the 117th episode of his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday, initiated a nationwide campaign to celebrate the significant milestone of India reaching 75 years since the adoption of its Constitution.

He remarked, "2025 is just around the corner, knocking on the door. On January 26, 2025, it will be 75 years since the adoption of the Constitution. It is a matter of immense pride for all of us. The Constitution that our Constitution makers gave us has stood the test of time. The Constitution is our guiding light. It is the Constitution of India because of which I am here today and am talking to you."

This year, on Samvidhan Divas, November 26, India marked 75 years since the Constitution was adopted.

The Prime Minister announced that in honor of this milestone, a nationwide campaign will invite citizens to read the Preamble and share their videos, fostering a sense of collective pride and unity.

A special website, http://Constitution75.com, has been established to connect citizens with the legacy of the Constitution. He encouraged school and college students to visit the site and participate in the Constitution Day celebrations.

"You can read the Constitution in different languages and ask questions pertaining to the Constitution," the Prime Minister stated.

In a previous post on X, he mentioned that this month's Mann Ki Baat encompasses a variety of topics that would pique everyone's interest.

The Parliament engaged in a comprehensive discussion regarding the 75 years of India's Constitution. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha participated in debates that showcased moments of intense discussion between the ruling party and the opposition, reflecting on the importance and evolution of the Constitution since its adoption on November 26, 1949.
