Sangma, emphasized on Thursday that the freedom we enjoy today is the result of hard-fought struggles and sacrifices made by our leaders. While attending a theatrical performance focused on the life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the auditorium of the Directorate General of Assam Rifles in Laitkor, Shillong, the Chief Minister expressed that experiencing such a play just before the 79th Independence Day of India adds significant meaning to it.
He remarked, "Theatre can effectively bring history to life, making it more relatable, especially for the younger generation," and added, "Let us draw motivation from the unwavering spirit of Subhas Chandra Bose."
According to the Chief Minister, it is essential to narrate the stories of our heroes of freedom to educate today’s youth about the sacrifices made for our nation.
