Farrukhabad (Uttar Pradesh), April 2 (NationPress) — A tragic incident has occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad, where a 14-year-old girl was reportedly murdered, with her remains discovered stuffed inside a sack and discarded near the Kali river, as per police statements on Thursday.

The grim event unfolded in the Mohammadabad Kotwali region, causing widespread panic and anger among residents after the girl's decomposed body was unearthed.

Authorities stated that the body was located close to the Kali river along the Chhibramau road, approximately 20 meters away from the riverbank, near the Kumhauli village cremation ground.

This recovery was made possible through the identification and confession of the suspects during their interrogation.

The police filed a case on March 30 after the girl's father, Ajay Kumar Pal, a resident of Sirauli village under the Nawabganj police jurisdiction, reported a complaint against three individuals — Kuldeep, Rohit, and a minor — all from the same locality.

In his report, Pal claimed that during the night of March 28 and 29, the accused mixed a narcotic substance into milk, causing family members to lose consciousness. They then allegedly kidnapped his daughter and fled with valuable items including gold jewelry, silver anklets, and cash totaling around Rs 50,000.

As the investigation progressed, police interrogated the suspects, leading to a significant breakthrough.

Following the confession from one of the suspects, the body of the girl was retrieved from the location where it had been concealed within a sack.

Senior police officials, including Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Arun Kumar Singh, Kayamganj Circle Officer Rajesh Dwivedi, Nawabganj Station House Officer Rajeev Kumar, and Mohammadabad Kotwali In-charge Vinod Kumar Shukla, rushed to the scene with a substantial police presence to conduct a thorough examination.

A forensic team was summoned to gather critical evidence from the site.

The victim's remains have been sent for a post-mortem examination, with further actions contingent upon the findings.

Family members of the deceased were distraught at the location. She was the eldest among four siblings.

The girl's family also expressed frustration, claiming the police initially delayed their response to the complaint, although officials later intensified the investigation.

ASP Arun Kumar Singh provided further insights, stating that the case initially seemed to involve elopement.

"On March 30, we received information that a minor girl had left with a boy from the village and his accomplices. As the investigation unfolded, it was revealed that the girl had allegedly drugged her family members and departed with valuables and documents," he noted.

"During questioning, the accused juvenile disclosed that the girl was pressuring him for marriage and refused to come back home. Disturbed by this situation, he and an accomplice resorted to killing her. Initially, they hid her body in a field before ultimately disposing of it near the Kali river in a sack," the ASP explained.

Police confirmed that all necessary legal protocols have been followed and strict actions are being pursued against those implicated.
