Washim (Maharashtra), March 21 (NationPress) The remains of a 14-year-old boy who was abducted for a ransom of Rs 60 lakh have been located in the Ansing region of Maharashtra's Washim district, as reported by police officials on Friday.

This shocking event has left the community reeling.

The young victim, identified as Aniket Sadude, vanished on the night of March 12 from Babhulgaon village in Washim district. Police disclosed that the kidnappers communicated with Sadude's family through a five-page ransom note, demanding Rs 60 lakh and threatening to kill him if their conditions were not fulfilled.

The teenager was last seen at a local event, where he was dancing near a DJ setup. When he did not return home by late night, his concerned family and friends initiated a desperate search. The following day, they reported his disappearance to the authorities.

Upon receiving the complaint, Washim police promptly initiated an investigation, assembling multiple teams to locate the kidnappers and rescue the boy. Despite their dedicated efforts and wide-ranging searches, no substantial leads came to light for nine days.

It has been suggested that the kidnapping could be connected to a recent land transaction involving the victim's father. Police are exploring this theory as part of their investigation.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took a personal interest in the case on Thursday, contacting Sadude's family to assure them that the police were diligently working to locate their son and bring the offenders to justice.

Sadly, just one day later, Sadude's body was found in a remote area along the Washim-Pusad route. The revelation of his death has ignited outrage and profound sadness within the local populace.

This heartbreaking event has raised alarms about increasing crime rates in the area and the safety of children. Residents are demanding immediate and severe action against those responsible.
