New Delhi, March 26 (NationPress) In a disturbing incident, a 15-year-old boy was abducted by three minors in Delhi for a ransom of Rs 10 lakh, only to be murdered later. The victim, identified as Vaibhav Garg, was a Class 9 student residing in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar, with his father working as a driver.
On March 24, a PCR call was made to the Police Station Wazirabad concerning the kidnapping and subsequent murder of a 15-year-old boy who had been missing since March 23, as reported by officials on Wednesday.
The authorities stated that a case was registered under FIR No. 135/25 U/s 137(2) BNS, prompting an immediate investigation.
It was discovered that Vaibhav, the son of Vikas Garg, was last seen in the company of three boys. Two of them are 17 years old, while one is 16. They were spotted on a motorcycle near Jharoda Pushta Road.
This information was verified through CCTV footage, which led to the capture of the suspects, according to the officials.
On March 23 (Sunday), the trio took him on a bike ride to a woodland area near Bhalaswa Lake, where they attacked him with knives, fatally wounded him, and subsequently disposed of his body before fleeing.
During questioning, the three boys confessed they had conspired to kidnap and murder Vaibhav for a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. They lured him to a remote spot near Bhalaswa Lake, where the attack occurred, resulting in his death before they abandoned his body in the woods.
After the crime, the suspects contacted Vaibhav’s father on March 24 using the victim’s SIM card to demand the ransom.
Following the suspects' information, police from Wazirabad station retrieved Vaibhav’s body from the site where it had been discarded.
Legal actions are currently being initiated in response to this heinous crime.
