Gurugram, April 21 (NationPress) - The police in Gurugram have apprehended three individuals for their suspected roles in the abduction and murder of a 17-year-old boy from the Devilal Colony area, as reported by officials.

With this latest arrest, the total number of apprehended suspects has reached 11.

The individuals identified as Amardeep and Shivam, both from Gurugram, along with Arun, who hails from Bhiwani, were taken into custody at Basai Chowk in Gurugram on Sunday.

The tragic event occurred on January 15.

The victim’s father lodged a kidnapping report on January 12.

According to the father, his son was abducted near a church in Devilal Colony around 7:30 p.m. on that day.

Following his complaint, a kidnapping case was registered at the Sector-9A police station in Gurugram.

During the investigation, authorities discovered the victim's body on January 15 near Basai village, leading to the addition of a murder charge to the case.

In the course of the investigation, joint teams from the Sector-9A police station, Sector-10 crime branch, and Sector-17 crime branch successfully arrested eight suspects, including a minor, from various locations.

Upon interrogation, it was revealed that one of the suspects had befriended the victim and gained his trust.

"On January 12, the victim was coerced into consuming alcohol and subsequently kidnapped by approximately nine to ten assailants, who ultimately murdered him by beating him with stones and sticks due to a prior enmity," the police reported.

Upon reviewing criminal records, it was discovered that the deceased teenager had three prior cases related to fighting.

Moreover, the arrested individuals were also implicated in similar offenses, according to the police.
