Lucknow, July 20 (NationPress) The remains of an eight-year-old boy, who had been missing from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, for the last three months, were discovered in a sack buried alongside a road in the Mania area of Dholpur district in Rajasthan.

The kidnappers had initially demanded Rs 80 lakh for his release. However, when they did not receive the ransom, they tragically took his life, concealed his body in a sack, and buried it near Mania, close to the national highway, according to police reports.

Authorities exhumed the body and transferred it to the mortuary for further investigation.

Naresh Meena, the in-charge of Mania police station, stated that on April 30, the boy's father, Vijay Pratap, lodged a complaint about his son’s disappearance.

The father reported that his son, Abhay Pratap, had gone missing.

Following the missing report, the family received a ransom call. The police initiated an investigation, categorizing the case as extortion.

Acting on a tip-off, the police located and exhumed the body from a site near the highway in Mania.

It was revealed that the victim's father is a farmer with 20 bighas of land. The suspected perpetrator has been identified as a neighbor of Vijay Pratap, who operates a grocery store.

The victim's family is heartbroken and demands justice for their loss.

In a separate incident last month, a minor Dalit girl was abducted in Uttar Pradesh and trafficked to Kerala. Allegedly, she was forced to convert to Islam. Fortunately, the police rescued her and apprehended two suspects related to the case.

Moreover, last month, authorities solved a case involving a girl who was declared deceased but later found alive.

Initially, a woman reported to the police that her daughter had been abducted. The police commenced an investigation.

During this time, the body of a girl of comparable age was discovered on the railway tracks.

Due to the inability to identify the body, the police proceeded with the last rites.

However, the family accused the police of hastily conducting the funeral. A few days later, a video call from the girl to her brother on Instagram aided in resolving the case.
