The main hall, adorned with shiny tables and chairs, alongside state-of-the-art meeting amenities, gives off the ambiance of a significant government office where public hearings regarding government schemes are routinely conducted.
In this Panchayat, the Sarpanch, Secretary, and Patwari convene daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to address and resolve the issues faced by villagers.
Chanchal Raghuvanshi, the Patwari assigned to Kulvasa Gram Panchayat, mentioned that work concerning villagers' ownership rights is currently a priority under the Central Government's SVAMITVA Scheme.
The SVAMITVA Scheme (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas), initiated by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in 2021, aims to establish clear land ownership records for rural households utilizing drone technology.
“We strive to address community concerns during our meetings. Currently, we are focused on the SVAMITVA scheme, ensuring the land ownership records are updated. Additionally, various other initiatives are underway,” Raghuvanshi elaborated.
He detailed that the process of rectifying land records and clarifying property rights is advancing swiftly, which helps prevent future legal issues for villagers.
Hariom Raghuvanshi, a resident of Lukwasa village, expressed that the construction of the Panchayat Bhawan had been a long-awaited endeavor. After numerous initiatives and coordination at various levels, the building received approval.
“This Panchayat Bhawan stands as a model for the entire district, offering superior facilities to the villagers,” he remarked.
