New Delhi, Jan 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Thursday the necessity for top CEOs and specialists in Artificial Intelligence to uphold ethical standards without any compromises. The Prime Minister engaged with these leaders during a meeting at his residence on Lok Kalyan Marg, ahead of the upcoming IndiaAI Impact Summit scheduled for February. This session was intended to promote strategic partnerships, highlight AI innovations, and accelerate the goals of India’s AI mission.

During the discussion, PM Modi underscored the significance of data security and the democratization of technology. He asserted that ethical AI use must remain uncompromised, advocating for a transparent, impartial, and secure ecosystem. The characteristics and values of India should be mirrored in its AI framework, he stated.

This high-profile roundtable included participation from CEOs of various AI-focused companies, including Wipro, TCS, HCL Tech, Zoho Corporation, LTI Mindtree, Jio Platforms Ltd, AdaniConnex, Nxtra Data, and Netweb Technologies, along with experts from IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Madras, and IIT Bombay. Additionally, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada also took part in the conversation.

Throughout the dialogue, the CEOs expressed their strong commitment to achieving self-sufficiency in AI technology, recognizing the government's efforts and resources aimed at positioning India as a leader in AI on the global stage.

The Prime Minister called for the adoption of new technologies across all sectors to drive national growth, while also encouraging the use of indigenous technologies in critical areas.

Regarding the forthcoming AI Impact Summit, he pointed out that all stakeholders should capitalize on this event to discover new avenues and advance on the growth trajectory. He also noted that through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), India has showcased its technical capabilities, which could similarly be applied in the AI domain.

PM Modi asserted that India possesses a unique combination of scale, diversity, and democracy, which fortifies global trust in its digital infrastructure. In line with his vision of ‘AI for All’, he urged the creation of a significant impact through technology and inspired the global community. Furthermore, he called on CEOs and experts to transform India into a prime hub for international AI initiatives.
