Previously, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis mentioned that the city of Amravati will gain special recognition due to the modern Amravati Airport and Pilot Training Centre.

“By completing developmental projects in Vidarbha and integrating this region into the mainstream of progress, we will prioritize this initiative,” the Chief Minister remarked at the event organized for the launch of passenger flight services and the flight demonstration of the Air India Pilot Training Centre.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu declared that this day symbolizes a historic achievement for Vidarbha.

“I am honored to inaugurate Amravati Airport alongside Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar under PM Narendra Modi’s guidance. This RCS-VGF funded airport commenced operations with Alliance Air’s inaugural RCS Amravati–Mumbai flight. Additionally, I witnessed a demo flight at what will soon be South Asia’s largest Air India Flying Training Organization (FTO), marking a substantial advancement for India’s complete aviation ecosystem,” he stated.

The Chief Minister asserted that the airport will instigate an economic revolution, benefiting the region both directly and indirectly.

“It will also generate numerous job opportunities. The airport will forge a new identity for the region. As entrepreneurs prioritize establishing industries near the airport, the textile sector will experience a significant uplift,” he added.

He noted that the PM Mitra Park to be developed here will create 200,000 jobs, and cotton farmers will gain from the transition from cotton to cloth and fashion.
