Hisar, April 14 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the foundation for a new Terminal Building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in the city, with an investment exceeding Rs 410 crore on Monday. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to ensuring that air travel is safe, affordable, and accessible for everyone.
During the event, PM Modi also launched the inaugural commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya.
Thousands of supporters gathered for the ceremony, demonstrating their excitement as they braved the intense heat to participate in the Prime Minister’s public rally.
Numerous local residents shared their delight over the establishment of the new airport terminal in Hisar, expressing that they had never anticipated such a facility being introduced in their hometown.
Jai Bhagwan Ladwal, a local attendee, remarked, "It felt like the entirety of Haryana had converged in Hisar. People traveled from every district, including Sirsa, Nuh, Bhiwani, and Rohtak. PM Modi has accomplished feats akin to the seven wonders in the country."
He further stated, "Just like the 'Statue of Unity' in Gujarat, the world's tallest railway line in Jammu and Kashmir, and now the commencement of air service from Hisar. PM Modi is tirelessly working for the nation."
Comic poet Naresh Kumar Jangar stated, "This rally was historic. Such a massive crowd and discipline are rarely witnessed. I never imagined that Hisar would evolve into a hub for air connectivity. All of this is attributed to PM Modi's vision and commitment."
Others echoed their strong support for Nayab Singh Saini’s administration and the Modi government, noting that transparent and merit-based hiring processes have begun in Haryana.
A local resident mentioned that during previous Congress governments, jobs were acquired through financial means and recommendations, but now even the children of the underprivileged have an equal opportunity based on merit.
Importantly, the new Terminal Building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport will feature a modern passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, and an ATC building.
