New Delhi, April 12 (NationPress) On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Haryana on April 14. Additionally, he will address a public gathering.

Following this, around 12:30 p.m., he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects in Yamunanagar and speak to the attendees.

In line with his commitment to ensure that air travel is safe, affordable, and accessible for everyone, the Prime Minister will initiate the construction of the new Terminal Building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, valued at over Rs 410 crore. This facility will feature a modern passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, and an ATC building. He will also flag off the inaugural flight from Hisar to Ayodhya. With scheduled flights connecting Hisar to Ayodhya (twice weekly), and three flights weekly to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, this initiative will represent a major advancement in Haryana’s aviation connectivity.

To enhance the power infrastructure in the region and realize the vision of electricity reaching every corner, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW modern thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar. This unit, which will span 233 acres and cost around Rs 8,470 crore, will significantly improve Haryana's energy self-sufficiency and ensure an uninterrupted power supply throughout the state.

Continuing with the GOBARDhan initiative, which stands for Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a Compressed Biogas Plant in Mukarabpur, Yamunanagar. This facility will produce 2,600 metric tonnes of biogas annually, aiding in effective organic waste management and contributing to clean energy production and environmental conservation.

Lastly, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the 14.4 km Rewari Bypass project, estimated at around Rs 1,070 crore, under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. This project aims to relieve congestion in Rewari city, shorten travel time between Delhi and Narnaul by about one hour, and stimulate economic and social activity in the area.
