New Delhi, April 14 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched and laid the groundwork for several development initiatives in Yamunanagar on Monday. The 800 MW thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant, whose foundation was established by PM Modi today, will significantly bolster Haryana’s energy self-sufficiency and guarantee a consistent power supply throughout the area.

In front of a large audience, PM Modi remarked, “Yamunanagar is not merely a city but an essential component of India’s industrial framework, making substantial contributions to the economy with its diverse industries, including plywood, brass, and steel.”

Local residents, invigorated and excited by PM Modi’s visit to Yamunanagar, expressed their happiness and gratitude for the numerous projects aimed at enhancing the region’s development.

Dharamveer, a farmer from the area, stated that the projects designated for Yamunanagar will significantly improve the region’s infrastructure.

Another local participant shared with IANS, “We are thrilled about the inauguration of these developmental projects here.”

He also praised the meticulous arrangements at the rally and the engagement of villagers, stating they were treated as “valuable participants” rather than just a crowd.

Another resident expressed, “The Prime Minister has witnessed the situation firsthand, unlike Rahul Gandhi, who has always been surrounded by luxury. Thus, PM Modi is implementing initiatives with the needs of the less fortunate in mind.”

An elderly community member commended the Modi administration’s efforts, saying, “PM Modi is accomplishing remarkable work. He is opening avenues for entrepreneurship and fostering a start-up ecosystem for the youth. Young individuals are greatly motivated by his leadership.”

A woman attendee lauded the initiatives taken by both the central and state governments, stating, “Villages and rural areas are central to the government’s priorities. Fundamental amenities such as water, electricity, and roads are being constructed. Education is empowering the girl child.”

Among other initiatives, PM Modi also inaugurated the 14.4 km Rewari Bypass project, valued at approximately Rs 1,070 crore under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. This project aims to alleviate congestion in Rewari city and reduce travel time between Delhi and Narnaul by roughly one hour, thereby enhancing economic activities in the area.
