Chandigarh, April 6 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14 to present a significant gift to the citizens by laying the foundation stone for an 800 MW thermal power unit in Yamunanagar and inaugurating the airport in Hisar, along with the foundation stone for its new terminal.

“These development initiatives will help connect ‘Viksit Haryana’ with ‘Viksit Bharat’,” stated the Chief Minister during a media briefing after assessing the preparations for PM Modi’s upcoming visit.

“Electricity is essential in today’s world. Our reliance on electricity spans across railways and electric vehicles, impacting every sector,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister noted that the 800 MW thermal unit, for which the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone in Yamunanagar, is being developed by BHEL with an investment of Rs 7,272 crore.

He conveyed that the construction of this unit is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

Expressing contentment with the preparations for the event, the Chief Minister mentioned that the residents of Haryana are excited to extend a warm welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at both venues.

“These development gifts will not only enhance the lives of the local populace but also benefit the entire nation,” he added.

The Chief Minister highlighted that following a significant victory in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the BJP has also achieved a notable triumph in the recent local body elections.

“In this context, the state’s development will accelerate significantly, and the Prime Minister's visit aims to further enhance this momentum,” he asserted.

He directed that arrangements for parking must be improved and that measures should be in place to ensure that attendees from across the state face no difficulties.

“Drinking water should be provided at both venues as well as in parking areas,” he instructed.
