New Delhi, April 13 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Haryana on Monday to commemorate Ambedkar Jayanti and will officially inaugurate and lay the groundwork for several key development initiatives designed to improve the state's infrastructure and connectivity.
As per the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), PM Modi's visit will commence in Hisar at approximately 10:15 a.m., where he will initiate the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and lay the foundation stone for the new terminal building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport.
The terminal project, estimated at over Rs 410 crore, will feature a cutting-edge passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, and an air traffic control building.
In a post on X, PM Modi stated, "Tomorrow, on Ambedkar Jayanti, the day will focus on Haryana's development trajectory. At around 10:15 in the morning, I will launch commercial flights between Hisar and Ayodhya and lay the foundation stone for the new airport terminal. In the afternoon, I will attend a program related to multiple projects in Yamuna Nagar as well."
The introduction of scheduled flights from Hisar—twice weekly to Ayodhya and three times weekly to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh—represents a crucial advancement in Haryana's aviation connectivity.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also conduct a public meeting in Hisar before proceeding to Yamuna Nagar around 12:30 p.m. There, he is expected to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for further development projects while engaging with the public.
Highlighting the Centre's dedication to improving power infrastructure and ensuring last-mile electricity delivery, the PMO statement mentioned that PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamuna Nagar.
This Rs 8,470 crore project will span over 233 acres and is anticipated to greatly enhance Haryana's energy security and power supply reliability.
Advancing the GOBARDhan initiative (Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan), the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a Compressed Biogas Plant in Mukarabpur, Yamuna Nagar.
With a yearly production capacity of 2,600 metric tonnes, the plant aims to foster organic waste management, clean energy generation, and environmental protection.
Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the Rewari Bypass project, a 14.4 km stretch developed at a cost of Rs 1,070 crore under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.
This infrastructure enhancement will aid in alleviating congestion in Rewari City, reduce travel time between Delhi and Narnaul by nearly one hour, and promote economic and social activity in the area.
