During the inaugural ceremony of the first commercial flight of the 70-seater Alliance Air plane from Hisar to Ayodhya, the foundation stone for the terminal-2 building at the airport was also laid.

The Chief Minister expressed that this airport serves as a considerable gift not just for the residents of Hisar but also for adjacent districts. The initiation of air services is expected to significantly boost regional trade, tourism, and investment prospects.

He emphasized the Prime Minister’s visit as a testament to his steadfast dedication to the advancement of Haryana. “Today marks the 135th birth anniversary of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of our Constitution. I pay my respects to him and convey my best wishes to the entire state. April 14 will be historic as we witness the flag-off of flight services from Hisar to Ayodhya,” CM Saini remarked.

Throughout his day-long visit, PM Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various significant development projects worth Rs 10,000 crore, aimed at improving the state's infrastructure and connectivity.

The terminal project, estimated at over Rs 410 crore, will feature a modern passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, and an air traffic control building.

PM Modi took to X on Sunday to announce, “Tomorrow, on Ambedkar Jayanti, we will dedicate the day to Haryana's development journey. At around 10:15 AM, I will inaugurate commercial flights between Hisar and Ayodhya and lay the foundation stone for the new terminal. In the afternoon, I will be part of programs related to various projects in Yamunanagar as well.”

The launch of scheduled flights from Hisar, operating twice weekly to Ayodhya and thrice weekly to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, represents a major achievement in Haryana's aviation connectivity.

During his tour, the Prime Minister will also address a public gathering in Hisar before proceeding to Yamunanagar around 12:30 PM. There, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for additional development initiatives and engage with the public.

Highlighting the Centre's commitment to enhancing power infrastructure and ensuring reliable electricity delivery, the PMO statement indicated that PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamuna Nagar. The Rs 8,470 crore project will span 233 acres and is anticipated to significantly bolster Haryana's energy security and power supply reliability.

Advancing the GOBARDhan initiative (Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan), the Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for a Compressed Biogas Plant in Mukarabpur, Yamuna Nagar. With an annual production capacity of 2,600 metric tonnes, the plant aims to encourage organic waste management, clean energy generation, and environmental preservation.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the Rewari Bypass project, a 14.4 km stretch developed at a cost of Rs 1,070 crore under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. This infrastructure enhancement will aid in decongesting Rewari City, reduce travel time between Delhi and Narnaul by approximately one hour, and foster economic and social development in the region.
