Bhubaneswar, Sep 27 (NationPress) On Saturday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at the Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda to participate in the magnificent ‘Namo Yuva Samabesh’ and inaugurate a multitude of large-scale projects for the nation.
He received a remarkable reception at the airport from prominent party leaders and officials. Following this, PM Modi traveled to the Amalipali Ground, the event's location, in a special motorcade.
Numerous supporters of the BJP and local residents lined both sides of the road leading to Amalipali Ground, enthusiastically welcoming him while waving the Tricolour and holding signs featuring the Prime Minister.
Traditional cultural groups also honored PM Modi with performances showcasing the rich heritage of Western Odisha, with musical bands playing along the route spanning approximately 2 kilometers from the VSS Airport to the Amalipali Ground.
As he made his way to the venue, the Prime Minister greeted his supporters, waving to the crowd. He even stepped out of his vehicle to acknowledge the BJP supporters and citizens gathered along the road.
Earlier, on his X handle, PM Modi announced, “I will be in Jharsuguda, Odisha, to launch developmental initiatives amounting to over Rs. 50,000 crore. In a groundbreaking achievement, over 97,500 telecom towers across India will be inaugurated. These were constructed using local technologies and will enhance connectivity in remote and border areas, as well as regions affected by Maoism.”
He elaborated, “The additional projects being launched or having their foundation stones laid cover rail connectivity, expansion of IIT infrastructure, skill development centers, housing, and much more. These initiatives align with our vision of creating a Viksit Bharat where the underprivileged and marginalized receive comprehensive development.”
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects valued at over Rs 50,000 crore in Jharsuguda, according to an official announcement.
These initiatives encompass a variety of sectors, including telecommunications, railways, higher education, healthcare, skill development, and rural housing, among others. He will also address a public assembly during this event.
Security measures have been heightened throughout Jharsuguda for this important visit. The Special Protection Group (SPG) has assumed control of the venue, ensuring thorough checks for everyone entering.
