New Delhi, April 5 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sincere wishes to the nation on Easter, emphasizing that the teachings of Jesus Christ should bolster the collective spirit of unity within society.

Easter Sunday is celebrated by Christians to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which took place three days after his crucifixion on Good Friday.

This day holds significant importance in Christianity, symbolizing the victory of life over death, the reconciliation of sins, and the promise of eternal life for believers.

In a message shared on X, PM Modi stated, "Wishing everyone a joyful Easter. This holy day embodies hope and rejuvenation. May it usher in peace, happiness, and illumination into the lives of all. Let the teachings of Jesus Christ motivate us to embody kindness and enhance the spirit of unity in our communities."

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also conveyed his Easter greetings, hoping for peace and joy in the lives of all.

In his post on X, Birla remarked, "Happy Easter Sunday! May this lovely day herald fresh beginnings, fortify your faith, and enrich your life with joy, tranquility, and numerous blessings through divine grace."

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda shared his Easter wishes on X, stating, "Warm greetings to everyone on this blessed Easter. This occasion serves as a reminder of hope, kindness, and new beginnings. Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand shared his Easter blessings on Facebook, expressing a desire for peace in the region.
