New Delhi, Feb 6 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday encouraged students to wisely capitalize on the technological advancements of their era, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI). He described it as a potent instrument to enhance abilities rather than serve as a substitute for hard work.

During the ninth edition of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' at his residence in New Delhi, the Prime Minister highlighted the ethical and constructive application of AI while discussing topics such as exam preparation, essential life skills, and readiness for the future.

Referring to the youth's access to technology that was unavailable in previous generations, PM Modi remarked, "You are lucky to have numerous technological opportunities that were not accessible during my time. We must cultivate the wisdom and intelligence to utilize them effectively. AI should serve as a means to boost your abilities."

He provided practical examples of how to effectively employ AI. "For instance, you can ask AI to summarize a biography, presenting the key points in ten bullet points, and you might feel significantly more informed," he elaborated.

"Another approach is to inquire, 'I am interested in these subjects and at this age. Can you recommend ten excellent biographies for me to explore?' AI will then locate and present you with those biographies."

The Prime Minister emphasized that superficial engagement leads to minimal benefits, whereas thoughtful usage fosters deeper comprehension and personal development.

He positioned AI as a facilitator for learning, creativity, and innovation, urging students to exercise discernment to prevent over-dependency. Student Ananya Sharma from Chandigarh echoed this sentiment, stating, "AI is a tool, a form of assistance, and we can leverage it to progress, but it cannot directly deliver us to our goals. I utilize it in this manner, for instance, to develop technology-related applications. I appreciated the concept of using it in a way that proves beneficial for all of us."

PM Modi's statements resonated with the overarching themes of the event, emphasizing the balance between academics and skills, embracing technology responsibly, and regarding exams as pathways rather than final destinations.

The session featured insights from various guests and reinforced Pariksha Pe Charcha's transformation into a nationwide movement promoting confident, stress-free learning.

As board exams approach for CBSE, ICSE, and state boards, the Prime Minister's insights on AI prepare today’s youth to lead in a technology-driven future, merging tradition with innovation for a stronger, self-reliant India.

The interactive session was broadcast live from 10 AM on Doordarshan, the Prime Minister's YouTube channel, and other platforms, connecting students nationwide in a pan-India format. With over 6.76 crore participants—including 4.19 crore students, hundreds of thousands of teachers, and parents—the event concentrated on alleviating exam stress while promoting holistic growth.
