Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on 9 June paid tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the completion of 12 years in office, describing his tenure as a selfless journey of service oriented towards building a Viksit Bharat. In a post on X, Yadav positioned Modi not as a conventional head of government but as a 'Pradhan Sevak' — one who places the welfare of 140 crore Indians above all else.

CM Yadav's Tribute

Chief Minister Yadav wrote that when the nation elected Narendra Modi 12 years ago, it did so with immense faith and enthusiasm. He argued that Modi has consistently approached governance through the lens of 'Rashtra Dharma', anchoring every policy decision to the larger goal of national development. Yadav credited the guiding mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' for fostering inclusive growth that has reached the poor, youth, farmers, and women.

Key Achievements Highlighted

Yadav cited several flagship milestones of the Modi era. The abolition of Triple Talaq, he noted, restored dignity to Muslim women. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government delivered free rations to millions and launched one of the world's largest vaccination drives, also supplying vaccines globally — an expression, Yadav said, of the ancient Indian ethos of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'.

The Chief Minister also pointed to welfare programmes such as Jan Dhan financial inclusion accounts, housing and sanitation drives, clean cooking fuel under the Ujjwala scheme, and health coverage through Ayushman Bharat as transformative interventions at the grassroots level.

Economic and Governance Record

Yadav argued that these measures have collectively lifted crores out of poverty while doubling India's economy and dramatically expanding infrastructure. He also cited digital transformation and structural economic reforms such as the Goods and Services Tax (GST) as benchmarks of good governance that have strengthened national self-reliance.

A Historic Tenure

The Chief Minister's message noted that Modi is now among India's longest-serving Prime Ministers and is on course to surpass all historical records for continuous tenure. Leaders across the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ecosystem have marked the milestone as a period defined by decisive action, welfare delivery, and renewed national confidence.

As India approaches what the government frames as a decisive decade of global ascent, the coming years are expected to build on this foundation — with the administration's stated ambition of steering the country toward greater prosperity and international leadership.
