Jaipur, Nov 14 (NationPress) Mohan Bhagwat, the Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), made a visit to the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Memorial located in Dhankya village, Jaipur, on Friday.
During his visit, he paid floral tributes to the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and explored various displays that highlight significant events from Panditji’s life and the development of his value-driven philosophy.
Bhagwat also visited an exhibition that showcased the initiatives undertaken by the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Samaroh Samiti over the last six years.
On this occasion, Bhagwat expressed that Pandit Deendayal’s philosophy is deeply rooted in his lifelong austerity.
“It is not merely a matter of contemplation,” he remarked, “but the result of profound reflection on life’s experiences.”
He further stated that this philosophy is not a new concept but an articulation of India’s timeless wisdom, which Deendayal reinterpreted for the requirements of his era.
“He embodied what the saints and sages preached and refined that experience for society,” he noted.
Bhagwat stressed that the national memorial ought to act as a conduit to disseminate Deendayal’s philosophy throughout the nation.
He stated that persistent efforts are essential to propagate these ideals and recognize those who exemplify them.
Truth, compassion, purity, and austerity—these four attributes, he asserted, are vividly embodied in Pandit Deendayal’s life. He emphasized that Deendayal stands as a unique figure in independent India who ventured into politics while striving to transform it without sacrificing his personal integrity or values.
Those who tread his path, Bhagwat said, are endeavoring to progress correctly, and Deendayal’s life serves as a beacon for that pursuit.
Mohan Lal Chhipa, the Chairman of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Celebration Committee, mentioned that the committee was formed in 2019 to promote Deendayal Upadhyay’s philosophy both in India and internationally.
He stated that the goal is to motivate social and political activists with Deendayal’s ideas, and ongoing efforts are being made in this regard.
Chhipa informed that major memorials dedicated to Deendayal have been established in Dhankya, Farah (Mathura), Chitrakoot, and Mughalsarai, where various initiatives inspired by his philosophy are currently in progress.
Chhipa added that before becoming a preacher, Deendayal spent 21 years in Rajasthan and 5 years in Uttar Pradesh, molding his character and worldview.
His daily rituals at the Shiva and Hanuman temples in Dhankya during his childhood profoundly instilled spiritual values that later shaped his philosophy.
Prior to this, committee president Mohan Lal Chhipa, secretary Pratapbhanu Singh Shekhawat, vice president Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, treasurer Gajendra Gyanpuriya, and co-secretary Neeraj Kumawat welcomed Bhagwat with a turban, shawl, coconut, Sanganeri scarf, memento, and books. Committee members also honored Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Ramesh Agarwal, the Rajasthan Regional Sanghchalak of the RSS.
Numerous dignitaries attended the event, including Area Pracharak Nimbaram; Jaipur Province Pracharak Babulal; Chittor Province Pracharak Muralidhar; Jodhpur Province Pracharak Vijayanand; All India Co-Pracharak Chief Arun Jain; and representatives from the Rajasthan Heritage Conservation Committee.
During the program, the Sarsanghchalak also engaged in an informal discussion with committee members.
