Bhopal, Feb 11 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday offered floral tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his death anniversary, which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) commemorates as 'Samarpan Diwas'.
The Chief Minister reflected on the Bharatiya Jan Sangh (BJS), noting that amidst the global dominance of communism and socialism, Pt. Upadhyay articulated India's eternal wisdom in a contemporary context, endowing the nation with a welfare-focused vision of integral humanism.
"Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was a champion of integral humanism and Antyodaya, dedicated to the mission of creating a capable India. He played a pivotal role as a thinker and organizer within the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and was a co-founder of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh," remarked Yadav.
Yadav emphasized that Pt. Upadhyaya held the belief that freedom is truly significant only when it enables the expression of our culture. His visionary ideas illuminated the lives of the most marginalized individuals in society.
"Following the principles of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is devoted to ensuring progress opportunities for all, alongside the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women," Yadav stated.
Additionally, Yadav mentioned that on this solemn day, the distribution of kits to hair artisans represents a tangible effort to actualize Upadhyaya's philosophy of Antyodaya.
The state BJP president, Hemant Khandelwal, who paid floral homage to Pt. Upadhyaya during a ceremony in his home district of Betul, remarked that his Antyodaya mantra aims to extend development to the last individual in society, a mission the BJP is actively pursuing.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya (1916–1968) is celebrated as an influential Indian political leader, thinker, and philosopher who introduced the doctrine of ‘Integral Humanism’.
