Bhopal, Jan 16 (NationPress) The government of Madhya Pradesh is set to host the seventh Regional Industry Conclave (RIC) today in the Shahdol district. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the engineering college grounds in Shahdol.

In addition to addressing a congregation of industrialists, CM Yadav will engage in private discussions with several attendees. This conclave marks the conclusion of a series that began in March of the previous year, aimed at fostering economic and industrial growth throughout the state.

Moreover, during the conclave, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will conduct Bhoomi Pujan for 28 industrial units, which are projected to attract an investment of Rs 570 crore and generate 2,600 job opportunities.

In addition, Torrent Power is anticipated to invest Rs 18,000 crore in a 1600 MW thermal plant.

Over 4,000 attendees and 2,000 industrialists are expected at the event.

Prominent industrialists, including Torrent Power's Executive Director Prakash Sajnani, ACCL's Managing Director Harish Dohan, and others from Sharda Energy Limited, Bajrang Power Limited, and Orient Paper Mill are among those likely to attend the Regional Industry Conclave.

A plethora of industrialists have registered online for the event.

Reports indicate that seminars on agriculture and tourism will take place at the event, alongside an exhibition showcasing various departments. Prior to this, six RICs were conducted from March to December 2024, resulting in investment proposals exceeding Rs 3.75 lakh crore.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav remarked that the total investment proposals from the six RICs are projected to create nearly 85,000 job opportunities in the state, further supporting industrial development.

For the Shahdol RIC, investment proposals exceeding Rs 20,000 crore have already been received, as noted by CM Yadav during a virtual meeting with investors on Monday.

The total investment is expected to rise further following this conclave.

Interestingly, the inaugural RIC was held in CM Yadav's home district of Ujjain on March 1 and 2, 2024. The subsequent editions were conducted in Jabalpur on July 20, Gwalior on August 28, the Sagar division on September 27, Rewa on October 23, and Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad) division on December 7, 2024.

Following this, the state government will commence preparations for the 'Madhya Pradesh - Global Investors Summit 2025', scheduled for February 24 in Bhopal. CM Yadav stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Global Investors Meet.

It is noteworthy that the state government has proclaimed 2025 as the 'Year of Industry and Employment' to encourage industrial progress in Madhya Pradesh. To facilitate this, sessions on investment opportunities are being organized at both national and international levels.
