Bhopal, Feb 18 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presided over a meeting on Tuesday with the apex committee responsible for coordinating preparations for the forthcoming two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the summit on February 24 in Bhopal.
The inaugural meeting of the apex committee took place at the Chief Minister's residence, Samatva Bhawan, and included participation from Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla. V.D. Sharma, the state BJP chief and a committee member, was also present. Senior officials, such as Chief Secretary Anurag Jain and Principal Secretary (Finance) Manish Rastogi, attended the meeting.
During the session, Chief Minister Yadav assessed the current preparations for the two-day significant business event (GIS) in the state capital and issued essential directives to the committee members.
Chief Secretary Jain, along with other senior authorities, updated the committee on the ongoing arrangements for GIS, including lodging, city beautification, and event venue logistics.
The committee members will oversee and execute various assigned tasks, including travel, catering, accommodation, and other logistical arrangements for the investors arriving from across the nation and around the globe.
Following the meeting, the CM posted on X, stating, "... the apex committee formed for the successful execution and organization of the 'Global Investors Summit 2025' scheduled for February 24 and 25 in Bhopal, convened today at Samatva Bhawan and gathered insights about the arrangements. I also provided crucial guidelines to senior officials."
PM Modi, who will visit Madhya Pradesh to lay the foundation stone for a cancer hospital in Chhatarpur on February 23, is expected to stay overnight in Bhopal. He will inaugurate the GIS on February 24, as confirmed by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to the press.
"We have secured approval for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attendance, and he will inaugurate the Global Investors Summit. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in the closing event. PM Modi will also conduct the Bhoomi Pujan for a cancer hospital in Chhatarpur and will overnight in Bhopal," stated the Chief Minister.
To facilitate the upcoming GIS-2025, the state government has ratified 10 sub-policies under the MP Industry Promotion Policy, covering sectors such as agriculture, food processing, textiles, footwear, toys, and aerospace and defense equipment.
