Bhopal, Feb 7 (NationPress) The government of Madhya Pradesh, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, has erected a statue of Mata Shabari at Sitamadhi Dham in the Shahdol district. This initiative signifies a dedicated effort to restore religious and cultural values linked to Lord Ram.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to unveil the statue during a ceremonial gathering on Sunday, which will see the participation of tribal community members and local leaders. Sitamadhi Dham is situated on Ramchandra Pathagaman Marg in Gandhiya village, Jaisinghnagar, close to the Chhattisgarh border.
Traditionally, it is believed that Lord Ram journeyed from Ayodhya to Lanka during his exile, resting at 248 significant sites, including Gandhiya village in Shahdol.
Before entering Dandakaranya, it is said that Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman took a break in Gandhiya village, which is home to Mata Sita’s Rasoi and a Ram Temple.
In the Koriya district, caves are believed to have offered shelter to Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman during their time in exile. This site is recognized on the Ram Van Gaman Path in Chhattisgarh.
The Ram Van Gaman Path spans 2,260 km, acting as a Hindu pilgrimage route that retraces the 14-year exile of Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshmana from Ayodhya to Sri Lanka, encompassing over 248 locations. Significant development projects across Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh aim to enhance tourism and preserve cultural heritage along the Dandakaranya forest.
During the event, Chief Minister Yadav will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for development projects exceeding Rs 767 crore. He will also hand out appointment letters to 15 individuals whose land was taken by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).
Additionally, the Chief Minister will distribute forest rights titles to women in self-help groups as part of the Rural Livelihood Mission. He will also provide relief aid to beneficiaries impacted by accidents or fatalities.
