Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh), April 25 (NationPress) It is often said that with self-belief, one can accomplish the unachievable. This truth has been exemplified by a local resident, Rajmal Gayri, who has set a remarkable precedent for others.
Rajmal Gayri, the proprietor of Shri Dev Welding Works in the Naya Gaon Municipal Council, has earned recognition through his unwavering dedication and effort.
Previously, he worked as a welder in other factories, but after leveraging the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), he established his own factory, now earning a substantial income monthly. Not only has he secured his own position, but he is also creating job opportunities for others.
Rajmal received a loan of Rs 10 lakh under the PMEGP to launch his venture. This financial support has transformed his life, allowing him to expand from a small shop into a large factory. Currently, his business employs 10-12 others.
His reputation has grown so much that farmers and lorry manufacturers from nearby areas and throughout the state visit his factory for custom solutions.
Rajmal Gayri, a proud beneficiary of PMEGP, recounted his success story to IANS.
He mentioned that his company produces machinery aimed at easing the tasks of farmers.
“We have created various types of Jugaad for farming, especially for small farmers who cannot afford tractors. We have even transformed old bikes of hawkers into trolleys. Additionally, we manufacture equipment like Jugaad for spraying agricultural chemicals, cultivators, and more,” he stated.
Expressing gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he remarked, “Everything we have achieved is thanks to the support and blessings of PM Modi and his welfare initiatives.”
“I obtained a loan of Rs 10 lakh from the PMEGP scheme, which included a 35 percent subsidy. I am grateful to Prime Minister Modi for this,” he added.
The PMEGP is a significant credit-linked subsidy initiative designed to create self-employment opportunities by establishing micro-enterprises in the non-farm sector.
This scheme is executed by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), serving as the national nodal agency. At the state level, it is managed through State KVIC Directorates, State Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs), District Industries Centres (DICs), and banks.
