Neemuch, April 22 (NationPress) The PM Vishwakarma Yojana is instrumental in transforming the lives of the labor force, especially craftsmen and artisans, while providing them with significant financial benefits.
The financial support offered by this initiative not only assists in overcoming challenges, particularly those arising from the Covid pandemic and other unexpected events, but also aims to cultivate them into self-sustaining growth units. The primary goal of this scheme is to economically empower traditional artisans and craftsmen.
In the village of Dudarsi, located in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch district, several beneficiaries shared their stories with IANS, highlighting the positive changes the welfare scheme has brought to their lives.
Gopal Gayri, a local mason, mentioned that he received training for a week along with Rs 4,000 in assistance.
“Following the training, I was granted a loan of 1 lakh rupees by the bank under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. I utilized this funding for my house construction business and purchased additional materials. Our business has grown. Today, our challenges have diminished, and we are enjoying a fulfilling life,” he stated.
He, along with his family, expressed their appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this initiative.
“I have been working as a mason for the past decade, and now I have benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. Thank you, PM Modi,” he added.
Other beneficiaries shared similar experiences of transformation, expressing gratitude to the Modi administration for fostering positive changes in their lives.
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana was inaugurated by PM Modi on Vishwakarma Jayanti, on December 17, 2023.
This scheme not only provides training in traditional crafts but also offers financial assistance. Skill development training is available for individuals working in informal or unorganized sectors, including carpenters, blacksmiths, masons, goldsmiths, potters, tailors, barbers, cobblers, sculptors, toy makers, etc.
