Bhopal, June 26 (NationPress) Ratlam, located in western Madhya Pradesh, is preparing to host a significant event on June 27. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the MP Rise 2025 Conclave, a crucial initiative designed to enhance industrial growth, skill development, and employment generation throughout the state.
This event will highlight both local MSMEs and substantial investments in the area. Ratlam is renowned for its gold industry, and the Ratlami Sev has received a Geographical Indication (GI) tag.
The GI tag for Ratlami Sev was awarded by the Government of India in 2019, acknowledging its unique characteristics and origin from Ratlam.
Sev is a beloved Indian snack crafted from chickpea flour (besan) and spices, fried until crispy into noodle-like strands.
Organized by the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, the conclave is expected to attract over 2,500 participants, including entrepreneurs, investors, bankers, and youth from across Madhya Pradesh, according to an official statement.
The event will see the launch and foundation-laying of 18 industrial units in Ratlam and nearby districts, with a total investment surpassing Rs 858 crore.
These initiatives are projected to create approximately 3,000 jobs.
Furthermore, 27 new industrial projects will receive land allotments and letters of intent, indicating a robust push for investment in the Ratlam-Malwa area.
Chief Minister Yadav will also distribute job offer letters to trained youth and facilitate the distribution of loans totaling Rs 2,419 crore under various self-employment initiatives, including PM SVANidhi, Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, and Stand-Up India.
More than two lakh beneficiaries are anticipated to gain assistance through these and other welfare schemes.
A key feature of the conclave will be the signing of Memorandums of Understanding between a private company, ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce), a government-backed initiative in India that aims to democratize e-commerce by establishing an open and interoperable network, and the National Skill Development Corporation, focused on promoting MSME growth and aligning local skills with global standards.
An exhibition accompanying the conclave will present over 100 stalls showcasing ODOP (One District One Product) and GI-tagged items, innovations from MSMEs, and inspiring success stories of self-employment.
With the theme “Successful Entrepreneurs, Prosperous Industry, Inclusive Growth,” the event will include three technical sessions concentrating on investment policy, ease of doing business, and skill development.
The conclave is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for balanced regional development, generating new opportunities for youth, women entrepreneurs, and investors.
Chief Minister Yadav is also expected to hold individual meetings with industrialists and virtually inaugurate District Trade and Industry Centre offices in Niwari, Agar-Malwa, and Raisen, further enhancing the state's industrial ecosystem.
