Why Did MP Suspend Employees' Leaves Amid India-Pak Tensions?

Bhopal, May 9 (NationPress) A state of heightened vigilance has been declared throughout Madhya Pradesh as tensions rise between India and Pakistan. In light of the current situation, the government has enacted an immediate suspension on all leave requests from government employees.

Officials who are currently on leave have been ordered to return to their posts.

On Friday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a high-level security meeting, stressing that officers responsible for essential civil services and those involved in field operations must remain at their posts until the situation normalizes.

During an important security review at Samatva Bhavan, Chief Minister Yadav reaffirmed the state's steadfast commitment to national security, urging senior officials to prioritize the safety of all citizens.

He has directed various departments to strengthen their operational systems and implement precautionary security measures without delay.

CM Yadav also issued strict orders to combat the spread of anti-national propaganda and urged citizens to ignore misinformation.

Special attention is being paid to the protection of key infrastructure associated with both the central and state governments. Furthermore, disaster management protocols, including emergency healthcare and fire services, are being enhanced.

While reviewing the latest security measures and the preparedness of civil services, he called for improved inter-departmental coordination to ensure smooth operations.

CM Yadav reiterated that officers and personnel tasked with providing essential services must remain on active duty until conditions return to normal.

Departments have been advised to stay alert and ready for any unforeseen emergencies.

Madhya Pradesh is currently under alert, with authorities implementing rigorous measures to maintain stability and security in the region.

Reports indicate that security protocols have been intensified at Gwalior's Maharajpura Air Force Station, which remains on high alert.

Police patrols have been augmented throughout the city, with thorough security screenings being conducted within a five-kilometre radius of the airbase.

In a separate program and on his X handle, the Chief Minister stated, "Under the leadership of visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our courageous soldiers dealt a significant blow to the family of terrorist Masood (Azhar)."

In another post, he added, "The enemy was attacking from all fronts, but our army delivered a strong response to this malicious act through its action."
