MUDA Controversy: Krishna Appeals to PM and HM for Federal Protection

Mysuru (Karnataka), Dec 27 (NationPress) Petitioner Snehamayi Krishna, involved in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) controversy where Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is the first accused, has addressed a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting central protection for himself and his family.
He alleges that the state government has denied his request for a personal gunman.
In his correspondence, Krishna emphasized the need for immediate security from the central government, citing the Karnataka state government’s failure to ensure the safety of him and his family.
“As I am standing against the Chief Minister and other powerful figures, the state government refuses to grant me security. This indicates that government officials are attempting to obstruct my efforts under the influence of CM Siddaramaiah.
“It has become increasingly perilous to depend on state security for myself and my family. Hence, I earnestly request the central government to provide protection to safeguard my life and ensure my family’s welfare in society,” Krishna stated.
Further expressing his concerns, Krishna wrote, “I am reaching out with serious worries regarding my family’s safety. Despite my repeated appeals to the Karnataka state government for essential security measures, we have been denied assistance, putting our lives in grave danger.”
“I lodged a complaint about the unlawful allocation of 14 sites under the MUDA to Parvathi, the wife of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, along with other political figures and powerful individuals,” he mentioned.
“Even after my attempts to report this to the relevant authorities, no action was taken. Consequently, I approached the High Court and filed a private complaint. After reviewing my submission and the accompanying documents, the court ordered an investigation by the Lokayukta authorities. This led to the registration of an FIR in the case, naming Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah as the primary accused,” the letter stated.
“Following my revelations about this scam, numerous false FIRs have been filed against me, and there have been efforts to imprison me. The first FIR was lodged at Nanjangud Town Police Station, succeeded by additional FIRs at Devaraja and Krishnaraja police stations in Mysuru,” he added.
“They are attempting to coerce me and have offered money in exchange for dropping the case. Nevertheless, I remain resolute in my pursuit of justice. Now, they have resorted to threats against both me and my family,” he asserted.
“On August 18, I submitted a formal request to the Police Commissioner of Mysuru for a gunman, which was rejected. Similarly, the BJP State President, along with various NGOs and organizations, sent request letters to the DGP Karnataka seeking security assistance for me, but these were also denied,” Krishna highlighted.
The MUDA case revolves around the alleged illegal allocation of 14 sites to CM Siddaramaiah’s family. The investigation is being conducted by the Karnataka Lokayukta and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
