Yathindra Siddaramaiah: No Proposal Given to Withdraw MUDA Probe Plea

Belagavi, December 18 (NationPress) - Yathindra Siddaramaiah, the son of Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, emphasized on Wednesday that petitioner Snehamayi Krishna, involved in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case, has not received any proposal to retract his request for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry regarding the purported scam.

During a press conference in Belagavi, Yathindra stated, "There has been no offer from our side. We are prepared to confront a legal struggle and investigation. The political adversaries of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are behind these claims, supporting Snehamayi Krishna."

"To begin with, it is incorrect to assert that a MUDA scam has taken place. Numerous individuals claim to be closely associated with us, but there is no validity to the allegations made by the MUDA petitioner," Yathindra added.

Snehamayi Krishna had lodged complaints with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the Lokayukta, and has also filed a petition requesting the CBI investigation into the MUDA situation.

"We will bravely confront the inquiry. The political rivals aim to displace Chief Minister Siddaramaiah from his position by any means necessary, which is part of their strategy," Yathindra remarked.

Snehamayi Krishna alleged that he was being offered substantial amounts of money to retract his petition requesting a CBI investigation into the case.

This development is crucial as the Karnataka High Court is set to hear the petition requesting a CBI investigation into the MUDA case on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Krishna approached the Karnataka Lokayukta and appealed to the Investigating Officer to investigate the matter.

He has also presented a copy of what he claims to be CCTV footage, showing an individual named Harsha, who alleges to be the personal assistant of CM Siddaramaiah's wife, Parvathy, approaching his family.

"The accused are apprehensive of being apprehended if the case is transferred to the CBI," Snehamayi Krishna stated.

The MUDA case revolves around the alleged unlawful allocation of 14 plots to Siddaramaiah's relatives.
