Amaravati, Feb 19 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, is scheduled to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister of Delhi, which is anticipated to take place on Thursday.

The national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) departed for the national capital on Wednesday evening.

As per the information from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Naidu is expected to meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister for Water Resources C.R. Patil, and Union Minister for Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

During his discussions with Amit Shah, he is likely to address various projects and other important matters concerning the state.

Naidu will engage with C.R. Patil regarding the release of funds for the Polavaram project, specifically focusing on Central assistance for the construction of the left and right canals designed to facilitate a water capacity of 17,500 cusecs.

Moreover, he intends to raise concerns with Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding the challenges faced by chilli farmers. Having previously written several letters to the Centre detailing these issues, Naidu will directly bring these matters to the attention of the Union Minister and request Central support.

Chandrababu Naidu plans to return to Amaravati by Thursday night.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu are also expected to be present at the swearing-in of Delhi's new chief minister.

Earlier in the day, Naidu expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for approving Rs 608.08 crore for the state as part of disaster and flood relief.

On social media platform X, he conveyed his thanks to the Prime Minister and Home Minister on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

The High-Level Committee (HLC), chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah, has sanctioned Rs 1,554.99 crore in additional Central assistance through the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to five states that suffered from floods, landslides, and cyclonic storms last year.
