New Delhi, May 25 (NationPress) In an effort to hold the Congress accountable for the 50 years of Emergency, the NDA is planning to inform citizens on June 25-26 about those responsible for suppressing a vibrant democracy, as stated by a BJP leader on Sunday.
"As we approach June 25-26, marking 50 years since the Emergency was declared, discussions have taken place, and our four sub-groups will devise strategies to educate the public about those who stifled our democracy," remarked BJP President J.P. Nadda.
This statement was made during a conclave involving NDA chief ministers and deputy chief ministers held on Sunday.
During the NDA meeting, which included Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Cabinet members, the leaders were advised to refrain from commenting on Operation Sindoor and to exercise caution in their public statements.
Moreover, NDA leaders, encompassing 20 chief ministers and 18 deputy chief ministers, received an update on the government’s position regarding Operation Sindoor.
During the gathering, the leaders listened to PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat address, which was the first following Operation Sindoor. In this monthly radio broadcast, PM Modi praised the Armed Forces, asserting that the operation symbolizes a transforming India, united against terrorism and recognizing the importance of self-reliance, according to sources.
The leaders also paid their respects to the 26 individuals who tragically lost their lives due to a terrorist attack on April 22 in Kashmir's Pahalgam. In response to this attack, India initiated Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK through precision strikes by the Indian Armed Forces.
A resolution was passed to commend the Armed Forces for their actions during Operation Sindoor and to acknowledge PM Modi’s leadership.
The NDA meeting aimed to discuss the vision and strategic plan for realizing Viksit Bharat @2047. The core theme of the meeting was that the route to a developed India is through the advancement of its states—Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat.
