New Delhi, March 26 (NationPress) The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi, has emphasized the changing dynamics of warfare, the strategic hurdles facing India, and the essential need for jointness and synergy among the armed forces.

He made these remarks while speaking to the student officers from the Indian Armed Forces who are participating in the 80th Staff Course, along with the permanent staff at the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington in Tamil Nadu.

The Army chief praised the DSSC for its crucial role in nurturing future military leaders, stressing that professional military education is vital for improving operational readiness and decision-making skills.

General Dwivedi highlighted the importance of leadership, adaptability, and technological integration in contemporary warfare. He encouraged officers to adopt a proactive stance against emerging security threats and to innovate in military planning and operations.

During his visit, the COAS engaged with faculty members, discussing significant elements of military strategy, operational art, and leadership growth. He recognized the institution’s role in promoting inter-service collaboration and enhancing India’s defense preparedness.
