Prior to the launch, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma assessed the facilities of the newly added contracted buses and performed a traditional puja ceremony before officially launching the fleet from the Hirapura Bus Terminal.
In an update shared on X, he remarked, "Today marks another significant step towards offering convenient, safe, and modern travel for our state's residents! On this auspicious Rajasthan Day, we have launched 207 new buses from the Ajmer Road bus terminal. Additionally, in a commitment to road safety, we distributed helmets to 700 women as 'Road Safety Pioneers'. Our government is dedicated to connecting every corner of Rajasthan while ensuring the safety of all individuals."
The introduction of these buses will reinstate several previously suspended routes, facilitating more convenient travel for passengers. With a focus on passenger comfort and safety, these new vehicles will traverse multiple routes throughout the state.
According to officials from Roadways, these additions will enhance service quality on long-distance and intercity routes. Emphasizing road safety, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also distributed ISI-certified helmets to 700 women, recognizing them as “Road Safety Pioneers.”
