Srinagar, June 5 (NationPress) On Thursday, operatives from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive searches across various sites in the Kashmir Valley. These operations are part of an ongoing inquiry into a case involving terror funding and conspiracy.

With support from local police and the CRPF, NIA officials targeted numerous sites in the Reban area of Shopian district, as well as Nildoora and Chak-e-Choland in Kulgam district; Manzgam, Devsar, Sonigam, and Bugam in Pulwama district; Sopore in Baramulla district and Kupwara district.

Reports indicate that the NIA is currently executing operations at 32 locations throughout Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIA is also investigating the Reasi terror attack that occurred on June 9, 2024, on a bus transporting pilgrims, resulting in the deaths of nine pilgrims and injuries to 33 others, including women and children, when terrorists targeted a bus en route to Katra from the Shiv Khori temple.

In previous operations, the NIA has arrested and investigated prominent individuals, including JKLF chief Yasin Malik, senior separatist leaders Shabir Shah, Nayeem Khan, and MP Engineer Rashid.
