New Delhi, April 27 (NationPress) The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has entered into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with eight prominent organizations, including the Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), ERNET India, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Skyroot Aerospace, Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), and Kyndryl India. This initiative marks a significant advancement towards the Digital India mission.
The aim of these collaborations is to boost education, skilling, research, and innovation within the sectors of Electronics and Information Technology. Collaborative efforts will include joint research projects, curriculum enhancements, capacity building, training programs, and support for emerging technologies, as stated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on Sunday.
During the announcement, MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan remarked, "This strategic alliance between academia, industry, and government institutions is essential for fostering a strong digital ecosystem and nurturing a workforce prepared for the future. Such collaborations are vital in cultivating a digitally empowered society and a flourishing knowledge economy."
He also commended the leadership of NIELIT Director General Dr. M.M. Tripathi and the NIELIT team for their essential role in forming these partnerships, which aim to connect industry demands with academic outcomes through high-quality and practical education and skilling initiatives.
