Nitish Kumar Criticizes Past RJD Administrations for Bihar's Lack of Development

Patna, Nov 30 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed his criticism towards the former RJD administration on Saturday, accusing it of contributing to the state's lack of progress.
During the inauguration of the state-level Krishi Yantrikaran Mela under Agro Bihar 2024 at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, CM Nitish informed reporters that no substantial advancements took place during the tenures of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi as Chief Ministers.
He enumerated the achievements of his administration in promoting development, especially within the agriculture sector, since he took office in November 2005, contrasting it with the previous RJD governments.
"There was no development work in Bihar before 2005. They have done nothing for Bihar. When I took over the office, reforms in every sector began," he asserted.
The Chief Minister also highlighted his government's initiatives aimed at empowering women, pointing out their increased representation in various sectors, which he considers a fundamental aspect of Bihar's advancements under his leadership.
"Today, a large number of women are employed in every sector. We are responsible for women empowerment in Bihar," he noted, showcasing the state's commitment to enhancing opportunities and participation for women in the workforce.
He stressed the dramatic contrast between conditions in Bihar prior to 2005 and the reforms instituted by his government.
"The people of the young generation do not know about the situation before 2005. There was nothing in Bihar. The development works started after I came to power," CM Nitish remarked, underscoring his administration's focus on progress across multiple sectors.
His comments displayed his pride in the initiatives his government has launched to improve the state's socio-economic and infrastructural landscape.
At the fair, the Chief Minister was joined by Cabinet Minister Mangal Pandey and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha.
The fair, which showcases modern agricultural equipment, offers training programs and includes cultural activities aimed at engaging and educating farmers.
