Patna, April 2 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, undertook a thorough review of various ongoing infrastructure initiatives in Patna on Thursday, instructing officials to expedite their completion.
His tour commenced at the under-construction Pataliputra Park No. 113 located in Pataliputra Colony, where he assessed amenities like walking tracks, a gym, and a children's play area, urging officials to prioritize the park's timely completion.
Next, he visited Patali Path to evaluate the progress of a project designed to link Nehru Path with Patali Path, directing authorities to hasten construction efforts.
Moving forward, the Chief Minister inspected the Rupaspur Canal area, where he reviewed plans for the crucial four-lane widening and strengthening of the Rupaspur Canal Road—a vital connector between Khagaul, Nehru Path, and Ashok Rajpath.
He stressed that the timely execution of this project would notably enhance urban mobility.
At Saguna Mor, Kumar looked into the road-widening project along both sides of Nehru Path—from Rupaspur Canal to Saguna Mor—also incorporating the development of an underground drainage system.
He reiterated the urgency for swift execution, asserting that the rapid urbanization in West Patna necessitates improved traffic infrastructure.
Officials briefed him on the construction of a roadway integrated with a box culvert over a 12-metre-wide open drain between Rupaspur and Saguna Mor, which is anticipated to enhance both the city's aesthetics and the commuting experience for residents.
The Chief Minister also inspected the 2.20-km road-widening and strengthening project linking Nehru Path to Gola Path near Krishna Chowk.
Addressing the frequent traffic congestion in the area, he instructed officials to finalize the work as soon as possible to improve connectivity towards Danapur.
